How it Started - Hi! my name is Viv and I love clothing, dressing up, and putting outfits together. As a kid, I started thrift shopping with my Dad and in 1986 I opened my first Hey Viv ! vintage clothing store in Staten Island. I loved meeting customers and talking about style and what we love to wear.
Growing the Brand - In 1999 I took Hey Viv ! online and developed my own line of Hey Viv ! vintage inspired clothing and accessories based on what my customers bought and commented on. My designs take classic vintage styles and update them to today’s sizing and includes basics that you can mix and match with your current wardrobe.
Embrace what you like - When I look for vintage to carry in the store I look for the best of time periods but it's not just about time periods. I help customers find pieces that they recognize as being from or inspired by the past. I want you to have fun or feel cool wearing it. So, stop worrying about specific pieces or looks. It’s a thrift attitude – go in without expectations, go in knowing you’ll find something you like, and are happy to have found.

Nuts about Vintage Pins
I have to confess I love Vintage Jewelry Pins! Pins are the first thing I look at when I go shopping and I wear one everyday. They are small, can be found in any price range, and the variety of styles and shapes are infinite. I put my collection out on trays so I can see them and choose which ones go with the vintage clothing I wear. I enjoy the sparkle :)
